The International Living Museum Academy offers trainings to become a certified Living Museum Director. This will allow you to either apply for an open Living Museum Director position at an existing site or open your own Living Museum with the support of the International Living Museum Association ILMA.

A Living Museum Director training at the International Living Museum Academy can be completed at any Living Museum worldwide, including the Ateliers-Living Museum and Naturateliers of the PSGN as well as the Tagesstätte of the Stiftung Heimstätten Wil.

The training is composed of theoretical and practical learning content within a full-time internship of at least 4 months or part-time internship spread over a year. Upon completion of the training, trainees will receive a Living Museum Directors Certificate if they meet the training criteria. A jury of the Living Museum Society decides on the awarding of the certificates. Once a year, the certificate is handed over in a festive ceremony.
